Yesterday morning, after a very short and debilitating period of illness, we had to put our cat 'Yorick' to sleep.

It was a very sad decision to make, but after examining him (for the fourth time this week) the veterinarian said it was time. Yorick was only a year and a half old, which made it all the more difficult.

He had a bad start on life, the runt of a litter of cats born on a farm near Berne, NY. He was constantly ill, but never with anything life threatening. This last bout of sickness was all his small frame could take, I guess.

He was a good cat though, and we loved him very much. We drove out to Erin's parent's home in Oswego County, and buried him on some property out there.

We'll miss him.

comment Hi Mike aand Erin.......I am so sorry to hear about Yorick, I know he was very young. But his purpose was to say hi , love you and leave, which is alot to ask in a cat. Truly, sorry for your loss, I know all too well the feeling. See you both soon, I hope. Love, Aunt Mary
