Some of you will recall that I was playing around with a hack of Google Maps to display APRS data. Now that the Google Maps API has been released, it's inspired me to make this thing actually work. Yes, that's using live data.
We're grabbing the data from findu.com,

That URL is even more exciting! Eventually, it'll be working all the time, once I buy the 2100H or V8000 I've had my eyes on for months now...
I take it this is a mobile rig? Because otherwise having a constantly-updating Google Map is like the most useless thing ever.
Maybe I don't understand what you're doing.
BTW, I found a piece you wrote about Paul in the Spring '02 Program Guide today. It was really, really good. I put it in the appropriate place on the Paul page on the Wiki no one's supposed to know about. Oh and the current GM and I broke into the old station this afternoon, too.... and I realized, I have to stop doing that. It's starting to make me sad. Fuckin' BU.
He'd only ever been in the old station for like 45 seconds once. I couldn't even believe it. We're getting old, man. Real old.
Some APRS stations are fixed (homes, WX stations, etc.) but most are mobile.
Here's a dude that seems to be moving around:

Eventually my car will be doing the same.

Looks like nobody in Binghamton gives a fuck, though.

That's sort of helpful, though.
