Video Conferencing With Tiger
[prev] Mon, 02 May 2005 14:59:55 -0400 [next] [computing] - [comment]

Today I had a videoconference with some folks I had never met. The only thing binding us was our ownership of a copy of Tiger, an iSight, and a lack of friends meeting those requirements.

Jim, from Chicago, and Jesús, from Spain, and myself spoke for about 2 minutes using the new multiuser videoconferencing capabilities in Tiger. The latency to Spain was noticeable -- not any worse than what you might see on the evening news -- but between New York and Chicago, it was brilliant.
