The orange kitty, or "P. Kitty" as he's come to be known around our parts, is probably not Ulfie's friend. He is a skinny orange cat, probably just as old as Ulf, about 2 years or so. Over the past few days, I've been analyzing the dynamic of the relationship that exists between Ulf and P. Kitty.
On his first visit, P. Kitty peed on our windows. This was unpleasant. Ulf decided his best course of action would be to lick where P. Kitty had peed.
Ulf is not very bright, nor does he get out much.
The next time, P. Kitty peed on our windows again. I forget what happened this time.
Yesterday morning at about 5am, we awoke to a crashing sound at our window. Ulf had leapt at the screen at an effort to either get outside and play with P. Kitty, or to go outside and kill P. Kitty. We're not really sure. Did I mention that Ulf is not very bright? Anyway, I picked Ulf up, put him in the bathroom, and closed the door.
"P. Kitty, go away!"
"..."
"P. Kitty, go away! Go home!"
"..."
"P. Kitty, go away! Go home!"
For whatever reason, P. Kitty listened to me, and left. Ulf spent the remainder of the morning perched on the windowsill, awaiting his potential return. P. Kitty did not come back. This morning Ulf was waiting for him too, but P. Kitty did not show either. I had a camera ready to photograph him, but perhaps he is camera shy. I doubt that though, because anyone who would pee on a window in broad daylight can't be ashamed of too much.

Well, when P. Kitty first arrived, I was trying to figure out if he were male or female, since both of the feline species pee on things for different reasons. If it were a female, it would make sense for Ulf to be so excited...even though he has no sperm. Female kitties pee so they can get laid. However, I am increasingly led to believe that P.Kitty is a male, as he does not yowl when he sees Ulf. Usually female cats in heat yowl like a banshee when they come within 5 yards of another cat. Well, I am inclined to believe that P. Kitty is male and goading Ulf into coming outside and fighting. Like Mike, when I told P. Kitty to leave he looked bored and finally decided to leave. I think P. Kitty also scared me last year when I first moved in and he was staring at me through my windows. Spooky kitty.
